STRATUS is proud to announce Dr. Jillian K. Wothe and Dr. Katherine J. Greco are the 2024-25 STRATUS Simulation Educators of the Year. They were chosen from more than 250 STRATUS course instructors by their colleagues and learners who recognized the immeasurable contributions they’ve made to simulation education in the past year.
Trainee Simulation Educator of the Year

Dr. Jillian K. Wothe is a 2nd year general surgery resident at Brigham and Women’s Hospital with an interest in surgical education and simulation. This year, she worked with her mentor, Dr. Pardon Kenney, and the Department of Surgery faculty to create and implement a variety of simulation sessions on topics such as vascular anastomosis, bowel anastomosis, and fundamentals of surgery.
Staff Simulation Educator of the Year

Dr. Katherine J. Greco is an HMS Instructor of Anesthesia and staff member in the Department of Anesthesiology, Perioperative and Pain Medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. This past year, via support from an Eleanor and Miles Shore grant, she developed a didactic program for the Anesthesia interns and expanded the simulation program for the Anesthesia residents. With the tremendous help of the STRATUS staff this year, she learned how to write and develop simulations that will now be a permanent part of the Anesthesia didactic curriculum.

All of us on the STRATUS team share our deep gratitude for the exceptional work Drs. Wothe and Greco have done to support excellence in teaching and learning. We cannot wait to see where this work takes them!
