Welcome Dr. Paulo Borges, New STRATUS Research Fellow

We are pleased to welcome Dr. Paulo Borges to the Research team as a new Research Fellow!

Dr. Borges brings a wealth of experience in a variety of medical fields. Originally from Brazil, he attended medical school at Universidade de Pernambuco (UPE). After completing a general surgery residency and a pediatric surgery clinical fellowship, he earned a master’s degree in Children’s Health from Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE) and was trained in abdominal solid organs transplant. Dr. Borges was a practicing emergency surgeon and head of the Pediatric Surgery Department at Instituto de Medicina Integral Professor Fernando Figueira (IMIP), where he earned a PhD in Medical Sciences.

Dr. Borges is familiar with Boston and the Brigham. Previously, at Boston Children’s Hospital, he researched pediatric solid organ transplants. He also worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Neurosurgery Oncology.
